RocketPay ran lending on calls, WhatsApp and Excel. I designed its first in-app loan application flow, simplifying long forms after research with the field agents who handled applications every day.

RocketPay is an automated credit collection app trusted by over 300,000 businesses. It gives MSMEs one secure place to collect credit and cut daily follow-up work. Lending was the next step.

Lending ran on calls and spreadsheets.

Before this project, lending was fully manual. The team reached users through calls, WhatsApp and field agents. Approvals and tracking lived in Excel sheets and chat threads, which made the process slow and hard to scale.

I spent time with field agents, the people filling these forms with merchants every day, to find where applications stalled and which fields caused drop-offs.
